Very full bodied, rich and sweet with a higher bitterness to provide balance. Bursting with malty, biscuity and fruit cake character from the mixture of pale, amber and crystal malts. Masses of tropical fruits and floral fragrance from the hops, in particular the fragrant, floral and spicy Fuggles used as late hop together with extra Challenger, Pilgrim and First Gold. Very complex, rich and warming.
MALT: Pale, crystal, amber.
OPS: Challenger, First Gold, Fuggles.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pours a murky copper colour with a medium sized creamy off white head. Aroma is fruity with caramel, toasty bread and peppery spice. Taste has notes of marmalade, apples, toasty bread and peppery spice with a touch of citrus, slight roasted malts and earthy hops on the finish. As another reviewer mentioned it is quite acidic. Thin to medium body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite a unique tasting beer but not entirely to my liking. So so.

A clear glass bottle to ensure the best chance of it being spoilt by the time I drink it.... Nose is toffee, malt and berry, slight dusty note. Taste is fruity berry, spice, yeast, leading to toffee, toffee Apple, biscuit, malt, and a lightly bitter slightly acidic finish. Atypically full mouth feel

Clear bottle from Tesco dot com. It pours clear rich reddish - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, woody, nutty, twiggy, rivita, digestive biscuit,, leafy, earth and soil. The taste is drying, earthy bitterness, toothy, chewy, proper twiggy, raisin, pound land fruit cake, toffee / caramel, earthy, old penny, leathery, instant coffee and a nip of alcohol with a toothy finish. Medium body and average, prickly carbonation. It is rather twiggy tbh, but it's a not bad. Has a good boost level.

Bottle picked up from Sainsburys, Streatham (14/12/2021) - dark amber with a beige head. Sweet and toasted biscuity malts, with notes of caramel and toffee sweetness, touch of spice, dried fruit shred, getting some twiggy hoppy undertones coming through, medium body, spiced malty finish. Not doing much but ok at a push.

Thin light brown head left a spotty cover on a chestnut coloured still body. Malt, spices & tea aroma. Medium bodied, well carbonated with a sharp back. Sweet berry, malt, spices, caramel & raisin tastes with a tangy finish. Decent
