Heftily hopped & aroma packed, Hobgoblin IPA stays true to its ancestral traditions. Brewed with Fuggles, Golding & Styrian hops and then amped up by the addition of some mighty American hops. This collision of Old and New World hops provide an explosion of tropical aroma and a juicy bitterness. Born out of character.

Pours a clear, pale amber with a frothy white head, and a mellow fruity and floral aroma. The taste begins with some fruit sweetness, with the anticipated hop bitterness cutting in nicely alongside a light bready malt flavour. Perhaps a little on the sweet side, as the bitterness fades into the finish.

500 ml bottle bbe May 2021. Amber colour with a soft white head that leaves lacing. Aroma of malts and tropical fruit with grapefruit being most notable. Medium body with the texture slightly syrupy on the tongue. A little above average carbonation. Taste is caramel, malts, blood oranges, slightly sweet. The dry bitterness then kicks in and lasts a fair while. Quite nice. This is my third Hobgoblin variety so far and they are all good without quite hitting the wow factor.
