Heftily hopped & aroma packed, Hobgoblin IPA stays true to its ancestral traditions. Brewed with Fuggles, Golding & Styrian hops and then amped up by the addition of some mighty American hops. This collision of Old and New World hops provide an explosion of tropical aroma and a juicy bitterness. Born out of character.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of earthy English hops blended with citric Styrian Goldings and American hops. Relatively light bodied. The flavour is medium dry and decidedly citric, on a background of earthy bittering hops. Etter 15 måneder med tålmodig venting var vi atter tilbake i trygge omgivelser på Cardinal for en kombinert sesongåpning og sesongslutt. Flere av deltakerne som ikke hadde sett hverandre siden mars i fjor benyttet anledningen til å ønske hverandre godt nyttår! Seremonimester Melberg styrte hele seansen med sedvanlig stødig hånd, og nå er vi på den andre av tre Hobgoblins: klar lys gylden med fint skum. Jeg opplever den som en tørr og klar engelsk esb (ikke ipa!) med citrus, barskog og noe floralt. Slank maltkropp, fin bitterhet og god balanse. Imøtekommende og sjarmerende.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear golden with off-white head. Aroma of earthy hops, citrus, some caramel. Tastes slightly bitter with some sweetness. Thin to medium bodied, slightly bitter finish.

bottiglia 50 cl, schiuma bianca fine evanescente, colore oro limpido, al naso ananas caramello frutta tropicale agrumi e leggero sentore metallico, in bocca caramello pompelmo frutta tropicale uva, corpo leggero, watery, carbonazione moderata, dolce con amaro moderato, secca nel finale.
