Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, fruits, coffee, chocolate, caramel and hops. Nice and smooth.

Bottle @ FOneFan. very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, little liquorice, hops and medium bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy very dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 310312

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is malty, hard roasted malts, some hops, dry cocoa, coffee. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, coffee, hard roasted malts, moccha, firm bitter coffee finish. Medium bodied. Nice stout.

Bottle @ home, from de Bierkoning, BB March 2013. Dark color, short frothy brownish head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, coffee, slight salty even, chocolat, biscuity, hint of fruity hop. Roasted taste, licorice. Slight creamy mouthfeel of the oats, but has a sharp edge from the salty licorice notes. Reasonably bitter. Quite nice, thx Jan from de Bierkoning for the advice :-)

Aroma has some cocoa, dark chocolate, hints of butter, coffee and vegetables. Flavour has roasted malts, oat, some coffee, toffee and dark chocolate. Velvety stuff like the label promises. An Imperial Cream Stout, I’d say.

A black beer with a beautiful, medium and milk coffee coloured head. Aroma is untypical, lots of strawberries, roastiness and some milky sourness. Taste is roasted, quite dry, lots of herbs, that leads to dry and long aftertaste, too simple taste. Medium bodied, slippery, slightly tense due to strong herbs. Nice aroma, but then taste is too simple and tense and thus, not so enjoyable. Dry and herbal IS.

Bottle: Very dark amber coloured with an almost invisible ruby sheen, stable small off-white head with a good lace, dry toasty and fruity ( the usual dried black berries) nose; solid dry bitter and slightly sweet flavour, soft and medium bodied; lingering dry toasty-fruity finish with a solid bitter aftertaste. Very nice brew…

Rating #999 - Pours pitch black with a bubbly white head. Aroma of roasted malts, wood, rye bread, some hints of ash and coffee. Taste is slightly roasty but still smooth with notes of rye, coffee, hops and malts. Finish is slightly roasty with chocolate hints. Okay, quite smooth and easy to drink imperial stout.
