Pitch black, brown head. Smells of malty fruit. Taste has a bit of fruit too. A bit tangy. Some malty chocolate and caramel. Slightly tangy, sour aftertaste. Not remarkable but a thoroughly decent pint.

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Fergus. Almost clear dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Airy malts with some cream and caramel. Bitterish ESB like dried fruits. Some floral bitterness. Light semi dry finish. Not very stout like nor is it sweet!

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has dry toast, leathery berries. Light sweet flavour with dry cocoa, a little earthy bitterness, toast. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry, earthy and leathery in the finish, with some burnt wood, torched grass. Fine.
