Paxton IPA is dry hopped with charismatic Australian hops known for their distinctive orange bouquet and wild herbal undertones. Full of flavour and attitude this beer does not apologise for what it is: a hard hitting, fully hopped IPA.
WHAT’S IN A NAME
India Pale Ale was first brewed in Britain, in the early 19th century. Its high alcohol content and increased hop count helped preserve the beer, making it an ideal candidate for export. It was first shipped to India, where it wreaked havoc in the flying carpet industry, prompting local authorities to ban this particular mode of transport altogether.

Can from Tesco, Borehamwood. Mildly hazed golden ale with a frothy head. Fruity, but slightly understated within its tropical flavours. There's some mild activity within a pleasantly crisp, slightly dry texture.

Can 33 cl. Pours deep golden with a slight haze and a small, white head. Nose is biscuity with slightly greasy hops. Medium body, malty, fruity fresh with a dry finish. But not much of a sparkle in the aroma on this one. 070818

Can from Tesco's in Amersham, Bucks. A dark golden/orange coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma and taste. It is fine but won't linger in the memory for too long.

Can at home, 23/07/18. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange peel, straw, toasted malts, grassy, melon. Taste comprises bitter orange, biscuit crumbs, citric tinged straw, grains, light bready notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Passable IPA but nothing I'd revisit.

Can picked up from Tesco, Bicester, consumed at home whilst making homemade Pizza, Thursday 7th June 2018 Light to mid amber with a clean white head, a little hazy. Good bitterness, the hops are a little more rustic than citrus/tropical, a little bit of caramel it's a beer that is better than I expected. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Poured a very slightly hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is mapt, grassy tropical citrus hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a crisp, fresh, fruity, light dry pepper spice, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
