Bottle. Dark, almost black. Aroma is deep, roasted grains with hints of coffee. Taste is coffee, mocha and kind of boozy. Nice beer. Update. I cellared this beer and was very pleasantly surprised by the results. I'm raising the score because of that. Unfortunately, it's not available in the USA anymore. For Christmas last year I had a friend order a whole case of this for me as a surprise. I immediately cellared it. I just cracked one open. What a fantastic beer. I'm raising the score once more.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Roasty malts with chocolate, touch of coffee, mocha and caramel. A little creamy with a mild bittersweet flavour. Medium body. Hardly imperial but certainly nice.

Best before: 25.01.2024. One year old Porter or Stout? From SpecialBierPaket (chyba juz nie istnieje ten sklep). Ach te niemcy na tych obu gatunkach sie nie znaja. Piwo smakuje raczej jak baltycki porter, nawet nie jak imperial, nieco wodniste, pijalne, alko sie nie czuje, ladna rubinowa barwa, przejrzyste pod kazde swiatlo, piana srednio trwala. Dopasowane do sera z Austrii: Gmundner Atterseer Extra Wurzig. Srednio pasowalo

500 ml can from the Costco German Biergarten Collection. Pours a pitch brown color with a beige head and great retention. Great lacing too. Dark malt aroma. Very dark roasted malt flavor dominates, with some light cocoa notes, and only a hint of the 8.0% ABV in the finish. No coffee notes. Very Dunkel-like. Really smooth and clean. Medium plus body. Low carbonation and low bitterness. Great beer. One of the smoothest imperial porters I've ever had.

Bottle froooom.... huh. Getränke Hoffman on Marzahner Chausse. Dark brown body, thick lasting off-white head. Nutty, caramelly, woody aroma, nice, smooth and lightly tannic. Lean, dry, nutty, woody, caramelly taste, well hidden alcohol, fine. Some mild citric hoppy touches, well integrated. Good really.

Dark brown with thin head. Nice roasted, powdery, bitter dark malt in the aroma. Flavour is rather muted by comparison. Lacks some depth. Ok.
