Glaucus is the mythological existence of a being, both man and fish, a deity amongst mere mortals. The only beer fitting of such a name marries bold and spicy Belgian yeasy with bright citric American hops in a way even the gods would adore. Savor this golden beverage that can calm even the harshest seas.

Can. Pours cloudy pale yellow with small frothy whitish head, faint honey-vanilla aroma, medium carbonation, initially sweet taste turning bitter fast, vanilla flavor, thin body, medium bitter finish. Interesting brew, not spectacular but quite good.

Cigarettes and Beer, Brooklyn can: pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is lightly floral and lemony. Taste is yeasty. Lightly bitter. Kind of dry at the end. Seems more like a hoppy Belgian than a Belgian IPA.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on the St Patricks Day Saturday while trying to avoid the real world. Happy to be trying out the canned version of this one. Appearance is a paleish yellow with a robust frothy white head. Aroma is light, mixture of wild yeast and delicate grassy hops. Taste is very good, very dry like a champagne with a light bitterness, definitely doesn’t taste like an 8% ABV brew. Very much enjoyable.
