24/IX/19 - on tap @ DOK Brewing Company (Gent), BB: n/a - (2019-1453) Thanks to Meeki for sharing the beer!
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: smoky, tobacco, nice roast, complex, coffee, bit spicy, malts, very interesting. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of chilli up front, very spicy, lovely, good roast, sweet touch, malty, quite some alcohol. Decent chilli stout, I like it!

Bottle. Color: Almost black, very thin very light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, some dark chocolate and pepper. Taste: Roasted malt, moderate sweet with notes of dark chocolate and subtle notes of coffee and mocha. Just below medium body. Some subtle Whiskey and wood notes coming in but after a few seconds, towards the finish, the Chipotle peppers are overruling, giving the beer more body and medium hot spicy flavours besides the remaining roasted malt. Finish is roasted malt, overwhelmed by peppers although the beer still stays very drinkable in my opinion. Warming mouthfeel from the Chipotle. Very little carbonation. Just below medium (start) to over medium (finish) body. Ok beer for trying once in a while. Although the beer still is pretty much balanced and the Chipotle stays just on the good side of the balance, I once again discovered that Chipotle beers just ain't my favourite kind of beer.
