29 October 2021. Third Great Timternational Beer Geek Tasting. Cheers to the Ghent beer crew!

Hazy black, small, frothy, beige head. Aroma of Glühwein, aniseed, clove, gingerbread, 'kruidnoten', speculoos, biscuit, mocha, prune. Taste has sweetish fig & prune, sourish blackcurrant edge; spicy middle with gingerbread maltiness, clove, aniseed, herbal-medicinal profile. Herbal hoppy finish, more spices, clove & gingerbread, warming Glühwein-like alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Decent but not enough malt body to carry all that spiciness.

Malzig süßer Beginn, der den gewürzigen Geruch nicht widerspiegelt. Dabei sind im Hintergrund durchaus kräutrige Noten vorhanden, die im Mittel stärker werden. Brotig, Ingwer, süßliches Malz, etwas Kaffee, passende Röstnoten. Vollmundig, schokoladig werdend, wenig Zimt, intensiv. Langer, cremig malziger Nachhall. Gut! 9/12/14/13/12/13
