Leveson Buck is a feisty little fellow and can be enjoyed two ways: as traditional cask ale from the pump or as carbonated ale served from the keg. The latter, in particular, has proven a summer time hit and at 3.7% it’s a perfect refresher even for cyclists making a pit stop. Type of hops: Chinook, Cascade and Simcoe.

Cask at Exeter Festival of Beer 2024. Pours clear very pale gold with a white cap. Aroma: light citrus, some grass. Light sweet & bitter taste. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. OK considering the ABV.

Bottle from Redh. Appearance - golden amber with a decent off white head. Nose - lemon, meadowsweet. Light biscuit. Taste - light biscuit again, but still good floral and citrus notes. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture. Balanced bitterness. Overall - nice.

Has nice orange hops and lemon the nose, some murky orangey grain body and modest foam. Flavour is soft hop sweetness, mellow grain. Mouthfeel is a little too watery but has lasting crispness. It's okay, simple, should be more full and crisp. Cask at the brewery's restaurant on Botley Hill farm.

9/1/2019. Bottle at Four Hops, Reigate. Pours golden with a small bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, flowers, grass, hops and straw, with a hint of pineapple and banana. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. Bittersweet, fruity/grassy and slightly gassy finish. Drinkable, much better than the previous one I just had from the brewer.

Cask at the White Bear, Fickleshole. A slightly cloudy amber pour with a thin white head; citrusy aroma; clean fruity taste. A pleasant light bitter, I wouldn't describe this as a Session IPA, but great at lunchtime.

Re-tick. Keg version at Thyme at the Tavern, Chertsey. No new ticks. Aroma is sweet, grainy and buttery. Clear dull brown. No head. Herbal with some grainy bitterness. Malty streak with boiled veg and a hint of butter. Thin. Slick. Flat. Long. Poor stuff. Getting marked down. Cask at EBF28. Low key sweet citrus aroma. An opaque bright amber. Frothy white head. Light citrus bitterness. Some underlying sweetness. Mesium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. Doesn't really delver the impaxt of an IPA - not hoppy enough for me. Still, it would be sessionable. And juicy. Decent enough for a new Surrey brewery.
