650 ml bottle, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Orange to brownish-golden colour, small white head. Distinct aroma of ginger, also lactic acid. Medium sour flavour, lactic acid and ginger again, short finish.

horrible sour ginger. Nothing remotely appealing about this. Just disgusting mix of overpowering ginger and sourness

Thanks Shuichi for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing deep gold with sparse white foam. The nose shows lightly intense notes of jelly and ginger. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Lightly tart with lightly intense notes of ginger and moderately intense bitterness on the finish. Followed by more bitterness on the finish. All strangely out of place.

Bottle. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is sour candy, Brausetablette, ginger. Body is light, citric and sour and tart, ginger, spice. Fizzy carbonation. Dry, but strongly flavoured. Great!

50 cl bottle @ olio
Aroma has ginger, peach and tea. Feels fresh. Flavour has tart fruit juice, ginger and lemon. Quite what it promises to be; a tart ginger beer.

Crystal clear copper and light bronze coloured body without much of a head at all - a touch of a soda-like white head that fades immediately and leaves no trace of any carbonation. Aroma of soured and tart funk with a lot of brett yeast and grass and hay near the end, but a bunch of fresh ginger root around as well with not much else, but those brett yeast and ginger dominate, for sure. Light-bodied; Strong, fairly astringent ginger flavours are noticeable way up front with a dose of light funk from the yeasts and hardly any malt at all, perhaps a touch of wheats. Aftertaste shows the dryness from the ginger root along with a dose of funk from the brett-based yeast and fermentation with a light sweetness of citrus and lemons near the end with a very fresh and refreshing flavour without much complexity or depth. Overall, a pretty underwhelming beer because of the lack of complexity and depth of flavours - yes there is brett, funk, dryness and ginger, but that is about it, period. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Chelsea), New York on 01-December-2016 for US$12,04 sampled at home in Washington on Mother's Day 2018, 13-May-2018 while celebrating with my wife and her taking care of all three of our kids!
