Chocolate Oyster Stout. Interstate Love Song has 60lbs. of cocoa nibs in it. About one pound of chocolate per 50L of beer. 300 whole Desolation Sound oysters went into the boil to give ISL a bit of brininess and minerality. If you haven’t had an Oyster Stout before don’t be scared (unless you’re allergic), this beer doesn’t actually taste like shellfish. The flavour profile is more in line with salted chocolate.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with light head. Aromas of dry roasted malts and grain. Flavors of black coffee and roasted malts. Maybe some mineral notes.

Light brown. No head. Generic mellow fudgey brown stout. It's big enough, but not really bringing complexity and it offers a rather generic flavour profile. A bit disappointing.

Black colour. Roasted malt aroma, bread. Smooth, more dark Brown Ale than Stout, dark bread flavour, bit of roast in the finish. No sea flavour.
Good.

On tap at the brewery. Okay dark brown body and a bit of head on top. Soft sweet barley on the nose but nothing else. Flavour is mellow barley with soft chocolate and coffee hints. Sharp finish, a little watery but that seems standard for most stouts. Not bad, not a standout.
