Old rating - A 330ml bottle collected from the brewery in Courpalay in June 2017. Drank on 04/12/18 as Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1872. A good quality blonde from a very good brewery.

A classical Belgian dry ale, close to the Pelforth blonde, but this one is better, malty, dry, a bit fruity and hoppy, at the final, 07.11.2018, drinking it in my hotel room, Mercure, Paris Gare de Lyon, buying it at the carrefour rue de Lyon, Paris.

33cl bottle from Carrefour Drive Châlons-En-Champagne. F: medium, white, good retention. C: blonde, hazy with a lot of UFO´s. A: malty, bit citrus, bready. T: medium malty base, bit citrus, bready, yeasty touch, medium carbonation, decent bitterness, not such disaster here, partially enjoyed.

Has a big soap foam on clouded gold liquid. Aroma is soft hay funk grain and citrus. Flavour is modest grain and light grass. Medium on the mouth. It's very unintrusive and soft which is good or bad, depending on your leaning. --- Beer aliased from original tick of (Gaillon) Bière De Brie Blonde on 31 Aug 2010 at 13:23 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Original review text: One thing about beer hunting in France is that every farm, every town, has its own brew that almost no one’s ever heard of outside of that tiny little spot. Many of these are brewed in incredibly small batches, and you never know when you’ll find them again. Found this at a farm outside of Paris, at their shop, in a 750ml bottle. Nice blonde colour, excellent head on top. Hops, hay, some malts on the nose. Taste is a mix of grass, malt, caramel, alcohol. Actually a good mix of bière de garde tastes, quite strong and a very good example of the style.

Bottle from the Republique Monoprix as Rabourdin Briarde Blonde at 5.7%. Pours hazy light, light gold with a white head. Light aroma that might be grassy. Med minus body. Flavor is mildly hoppy - touch of perfume - so floral? The flavors are light, but the sum total is fairly decent. Just not exciting.

Bottle (don’t remember the exact date, but it was very fresh) at Au Cesar Gormand, Provins, 4/23/15
Touch of haziness (unfiltered) leaving the sediment behind, the pour produces a pale copper-gold body with a fluffy white head that fades slowly to a ring.
Heavy, heavy DMS upon first pouring. It eventually burns off, for the most part, but light bean notes linger (YUM!). Notes of vanilla, very dry, floury biscuits and the requisite peppery hops. No alcohol in the nose, nor much of anything really. Even for a farm brewery, the yeast isn’t doin much here. At most some dry yellow fruit skin-like notes and maybe a touch of banana....
Flavor is sadly, very washed out. The mash temp seems way too high as there is just no malt sweetness nor any comforting, soft malt texture. Granted, it’s not astringent and scratchy, but it’s just a mildly fruity, watery golden ale with a dash of peppery hops thrown in on the finish. Kept hoping with warming, something interesting would emerge, but no. The carbonation is well-done (bottle conditioned) and the bottle is absolutely beautiful, though! Needs a lot of work on the recipe and brewing.
Sadly, the brewer calls it a Biere de Garde, so I guess that will stand. This is about as similar to a biere de garde as my cat is.

Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a hazy light amber with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is light acid citrus. The flavour is veggie mineral with a yeasty light bitter mineral palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
