375ml bottle, corked and caged. Dark ruby pour, small off white head. Really pleasant aroma of pale malts, bready esters, some gassy, light fruit, and nuts. Solid carb, and mouth feel. The finish is lightly bitter, with a really nice biscuity malt, and some lightly fruity hops. Super drinkable, and very clean and crisp. very nice.

Nice foamy head, okay reddish-brown body with some carbonation. Aroma of cheap wood, shreddies cereal, dried cardboard. Okay cloying flavour of sugary malts, molasses, sweet syrup. Wet finish. Not exactly exciting, an oily sweet beer that needs some work.

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light candy sugar, light honey notes, light licorice, alcohol warmth, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light treacle, licorice, light curacao, alcohol warmth, nice and smooth. Bottle at Festival Brassicole des Laurentides 2015.

Pours a deeper amber colour with a big frothy warm cap that stays quite long and creates thick foamy lace. Aromas of toast, caramel malt, berries, light alcohol and lots of other dark fruits (dates, raisins, etc). The taste though is deceiving. Watered-down toasted malts and not much else. Becomes hazy at the last pour with yeast floating around. This gives a little life in the flavours with some light fruit. Looks great, smells good, but taste is not there to back it up.

Bottle: Poured a clear color brown ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy Belgian malt with light sweet notes is not the most exciting. Taste is also dominated by light sweet notes with some grainy malt and light cereal aftertaste. Body is light for style with good carbonation. Overall, this beer lacked complexity and the grainy malt notes were really not interesting.

J’étais très curieux... La bouteille est tellement belle que ça attire l’œil de l’amateur en moi (et ma soif). Le hic, c’est que le produit n’est pas à la hauteur de l’apparence. J’ai l’impression de boire une Richard’s Red ;(
