On tap at C’est What?.
Light golden pour, light grains, no hops. Pretty boring really.

Pours orange with almost no head. Soft malt aroma. Flavour is watery bread with very faint hoppy notes. Wet finish. I swear I’ve had good lagers, and this definitely isn’t one of them.

Bouteille 341ml.

Bottle: Poured a golden color lager with a medium size head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt base with light cereal notes is OK. Taste is dominated by sweet notes with some unclean cereal notes. Body is somewhat full with a light oily texture and medium carbonation. Too sweet for my taste and the hops were not distinguishable as they had been advertised on the label.

I am quite confused here ?? All the other Barley Days beer I have had before came in a 6-pack. Now, you have a typical lager (which is made to drink many and swill-it)... and it comes in a single. It is even listed on the LCBO site as single (only). Funny. Well, pours a golden colour with a small white head that does leave a decent coat on the brew. Not much scent, with little cereal. Boring typical mouthfeel. The taste is bit more than the aromas. Grainy with a little soapy hop in the background. Hints of other vegetables. Manufactured date on sticker (on cap from brewery) says May 22, 2012. Still confused, but glad I had to just taste one of these.

Really quite drinkable for a lager. Smells of faint barley malt, tastes like a touch of sweetness and cereal. Had a pint of this at Ceili Cottage - drinkable.

Inappropriately turbid appearance, light muddy colour; faint aroma with biscuity malt, lemon and hints of earthy hop; the palate is light and far too acidic.
