Same can from picture. Clear golden coloured body with a few bubbles rising from the bottom and a thin, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of soap, malt, rice, alcohol and a bit of hay/grass. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic note at first then followed by some rice sweetness, a bit of lemons and some more funkiness. Aftertaste has relatively few flavours with a bit of bitterness, some light tastes and a dash of malt at the tail end. Overall, a pretty bad offering, with more sweetness than usual and with an oddly cloying finish. I sampled this 33 cL can, purchased from BLT Supermarket in Kowloon, Hong Kong, SAR China (East Side of Nathan Road) on 25-August-2011 for HK$2.90 (less than US$0.37) sampled at home on the opposite end of the world in Washington on 27-April-2012.

I thought this was a re-branded Heineken when I glanced at the can.... but nope, it’s another Chinese lager! Head is slightly foamier than usual, boring yellow lager colour, but that aroma is of grass stomped on a hot tin roof. And that’s not a good thing. The flavour is rice beer with a vague hint of lime. Wet finish. Slightly more interesting than your usual Chinese lager, but still pretty darned awful.

Drank it from the can but it is probably really pale. The aroma is grainy with just a faint whiff of hop extract. A little hop extract on the palate, fading into sour graininess. Fairly good for the ultra-low gravity, actually.
