Aroma is sweet malt, and some nuts. Flavor is pretty watered down, with some nuts in the finish, pretty boring.

Tap at brewpub nr City Hall. Copper-amber colour, small beige head. Neutral caramel aroma. Light-bodied. Crisp, light nuttyness, caramalt, mild hops. Clean.

Can: Poured an amber color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with OK retention and limited lacing. Aroma of grainy malt notes with light caramel notes. Taste is a mix of dry grainy notes with some light dry caramel notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not very exciting.

Looks good - they got the head and Lacing right, combined with ruby clear pour. Finishes on bitter side with even a little wooden astringency. Creamy texture. Evident barley crisp here as well. Soft carbonation. Tap at brewpub.

(5 avril 2013)

Originally rated February 2006. Pours a deep copper colour with nice lacing. The nose is very light, with hints of malt and caramel. The taste is floral with grain malt. Nice dry bitterness in the finish, and dry mouthfeel. Great tasting brew that is awesome for session... and with the onion rings I had that night.

Has a very faint barley aroma. Body is a modest dark-copper-brown with little head. Flavour is great rust-like body with a hoppy-ish finish; it reminds you of walking into your favourite pub for a pint, tired after a long day (or a long flight from the arctic, but I digress) and filled with hints of caramel and barley. It’s a very good beer, and there I am, turn that page.

Deep red colour, with a sweet malty nose with some butterscotch. Malty taste with a light hoppiness, but the beer as some acidic tinges to it (turning?).
