Can from the bodega enjoyed out of a mason jar in my hotel room. Mostly clear dark yellow with a big bubbly white head. Sweet bread malt not a lot of hop presence light tart twang. Not bad.

Purchased at Intermarché St-Roch in Quebec City (where my band was playing). This one reminds me a lot of their "Kwe" brew (which I have reviewed tonight as well), but even a little lighter in all aspect. Light yellow colour, white head, some lacing. Mild nose of malt and a little hop perfume. Grainy malt taste. Yeah, pretty much a watered down version of their "Kwe" except for the mouthfeel being better.

Canette 473 ml. De couleur jaune dorée et claire. Nez de grains de céréales aux notes sucrées avec des notes de houblon herbeux (herbes fraîches et mouillées) ainsi que de faibles traces de pain et de miel. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes crémeuses. Quelques traces fruitées (agrumes) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de céréales aux notes sucrées avec des traces de biscuits et de caramel puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes fraîches, traces de foin) aux petites notes florales. Post-goût court-moyen, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of cereal and unrefined grain is tolerable. Taste is also composed of a mix between some lightly sweet cereal and some unrefined grain. Body is about average with average carbonation. Probably one of the least interesting beer form this brewer.

Can, 473 ml, purchased at Dépanneur de la rive on August 13 2009, savoured on October 15 2009; eye: golden, lightly hazy, no effervescence, white head made up of rather large bubbles, good lacing; nose: malt, grain, light caramel, light floral; mouth: water, light malt, slight caramel, light floral finale in malt with presence of caramel, average carbonation, lightly sweet, thin, light body; overall: ordinary FRANÇAIS Canette, 473 ml, achetée au Dépanneur de la rive le 13 août 2009, savourée le 15 octobre 2009; œil : dorée, légèrement voilée, pas d’effervescence, mousse blanche formée de bulles plutôt grosses, bonne dentelle; nez : malt, grain, léger caramel, léger floral; bouche : eau, léger malt, très léger caramel, léger floral, finale en malt avec présence de caramel, carbonatation moyenne, légèrement sucrée, mince, corps léger; en résumé : ordinaire

Light nose. Pale golden, white lace. Grainy, light yeast, herbal hops. Minerally aftertaste.
