Blonde dorée, la Malauze est une ale anglaise. Son arôme de malt et sa légère amertume aux accents d’agrumes font d’elle une bière goûteuse et désaltérante. Elle aurait pu être une bière toute désignée pour rafraîchir l’équipage du Marquis-de-Malauze, navire marchand français qui prit part à la bataille de la Ristigouche en juillet 1760 à l’embouchure de la rivière dans la baie des Chaleurs, dernier affrontement naval contre les Anglais en Amérique durant la Guerre de Sept Ans.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with some sweet notes also noticeable. Taste is a mix of light sweet cereal notes with no clear hoppy notes detectable. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Standard golden ale lacking some character.

A blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with mineral notes. In mouth, nice crisp malt with German hops, mineral notes, classic pils. Tasted Sept 8 2012.

Nice white head and a clear gold body with no carbonation. Very faint hops aroma with some perfume thrown in it seems. Flavour is sweet malts with a hoppy finish. Solid and smooth palate. It’s not a standout blonde beer but it’s extremely drinkable and won’t disappoint.
