A good english style ipa. Lots of fresh goldings, pungent and floral. Solid cereal malt bill to back the hops. High bitterness, and a good piney aftertaste.

Bien réussi pour le style, sauf pour l’apparence. Il y a un très bon équilibre et le côté caramélisé est juste parfait pour l’amertume qu’on retrouve dans cette bière.

(Bottle sample c/o a friend) Pours copper, dulled with haze, mid-size head of tan bubbles, no lace. Aroma of caramel malts, grain, some floral/herbal hops with faint citrus, a little soap, very English and more malty than hoppy. Flavour is malty, toffee/caramel dominates, fair amount of cereal grain. There are some hops here, mostly herbal/spicy with a little citrus peel, moderate bitterness to go with the malty sweetness. Light-medium body, average carb. This is an English IPA as advertized. I think it’s a decent one, but it’s really not my style and I cannot say it excited me in any way.

Aroma: A little caramel at first nose and then after hops are taking over. banana and fruit accents are also in there. Very complex aroma, similarities with wit beers + hop floral accents. Appearance: Generous, long lasting creamy head with marvelous lacing. Color is copper and a little hazy. Taste: Attack is very floral and hoppy. A solid bitterness that is very long lasting. We also find slight citrus accents. A good IPA with citrus notes.

An orange amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, caramel malt with floral grassy hops, light and smooth. In mouth, a nice nutty grainy malt, lightly roastedm herbal hops, light coffee notes, very nice. On tap at Vices et Versa, Nov. 4 2011.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur ambrée-dorée et claire. Nez de houblon floral aux notes terreuses et herbeuses (traces de thé), malté de caramel doux, léger de biscuits avec des notes fruitées (agrumes). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement crémeuse. Léger goût fruité (agrumes) accompagné d’une moyenne amertume de houblon floral (présent en arrière-goût toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel très doux avec des notes de biscuits puis en finale l’amertume asséchante de houblon reprend le dessus en étant légèrement herbeuse (herbes mouillées, notes de feuilles de thé) et aux notes terreuses. Post-goût moyen et un peu sec, moyennement amer de houblon herbeux, légèrement floral et aux notes terreuses avec un léger goût fruité (zest d’agrumes).

Bottle: Poured a nice amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry floral hops is quite pleasant with dry caramel malt notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some dry and lightly astringent notes with floral undertones and a nice dry caramel malt backbone. Body is slightly fuller then average with good carbonation. Well rendered IPA with English hops. Definitely something I would see myself seek again.

Has a nice clear amber colour and decent head on top. Faint aroma of malt. Flavour is swamp grass with a hoppy finish. If I was arrested and shipped to Guantanamo and CIA agents handed me a bottle of this, I’d drink it again.
