Big fucken canned @ home, courtesy of GodoftheMolsonCellar. Thanks BroIPA!!! My personal white wale slayed @ 1:45am MST 11/6/2013 to celebrate rating #7,405. Pours a 13.99 karat gold appearance that offers little head or really any kind of oral pleasure. Aroma is definitely microcarbonated™ along with notes of apple, lemon, light grain, and club soda. The microcarbonation™ is very burp inducing, particularly at this late hour after I’ve been drinking for the past seven hours. A touch metallic flavor but really just good ol’ Molson characteristics in the taste including light cotton candy, bubblegum, and lemon that is fancied with microcarbonation™. 7/10 swills. Been almost a year since i had a molson. Came back and tried this with some hope it would be a dark beer because of the dark coloured label but.... no. just the same crap as always, this time with an additional taste of swamp gas that i don’t seem to remember

First tried this one at the Big O in Montreal (for the Allouettes vs. Lion final in 2009). Now, bought this in a can at the Metro. First microcarbonated beer in the world... WTF ! Is that really gonna be a selling factor for the swill market ?? Anyways, pours a pale yellow colour with a soapy-foam white head that does leave some lace. The carbonation disappears quickly while some big bubbles are stuck to the bottom of the glass (nice to have this carbonation system). Suppose to look like Champagne bubbles (not here). Not pleasant adjunct smell and pretty much just corn in the taste. Pretty close to their Molson Ex, but gives worst headaches.

Ah, Back in Canada, Molson country! While I’ve tried a few of their beers over the years, now that I’m really into this craft brew thing it will be interesting to rate and possibly re-rate some old not-so-favourites. You know, over in Vancouver the big Molson’s brewery sticks out like a sore thumb, a huge middle finger to the city, and driving by you get this huge acrid cloud of piss aroma in the immediate surrounding few blocks. It is quite possibly that, during my formative years living in and around that acrid cloud of urine smell, that I was turned off beer for many decades. But, here to begin with is the "M" brand of Molson, black can, possibly attempting to be classy or smart or something. Pours perfectly average, a nice level of white head and a stormy sea of bubbles in the most accurately beer-looking gold colour you’ll find. The aroma is rice and corn and sugar, candy-like but not a complete turnoff. Taste is a lot of corn with a cardboard finish. Smooth palate. Really not awful, but really not interesting either.

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to slick surface. Sweet adjunct and coran aromas. Flat and sweet upfront turning crisp and dry in the malty finish.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur jaune et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle, léger-moyen de maïs sucré avec des notes de houblon herbeux (foin) et de sucre chimique. Mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-faible et une texture aqueuse et aux faibles notes crémeuses. Moyen goût de grains de malt pâle accompagné de faibles notes de légumes bouillis sucrés lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger-moyen goût de maïs sucré ainsi qu’un moyen goût herbeux (foin) puis en finale l’on retrouve de faibles notes amères de houblon herbeux (gazon). Post-goût court, composé de notes de sucre chimique avec quelques traces de houblon herbeux.

Bottle: Poured a pale bright yellow color ale with a small bubbly head with no retention or lacing. Aroma of corn and other crap adjunct is very light. Taste is also dominated by corn and crap adjunct thought very light and this ends up being very close to ginger ale. Not as bad as extremely bland.
