On tap at Hacklberg Bräustüberl, Passau in the company of Craig and Stella Saturday 14th October 2023. Pours mid brown with a little haze, a little fruity tang, nice fizziness, wheatiness showing, not bad.

Bottle. Color: Hazy dark amber, off-white dense head. Aroma: Banana, yeasty, wheat. Taste: Very smooth mouthfeel, a lot of banana, yeasty, wheat malt, caramel notes. Over moderate sweet, very light bitterness. Just over medium body, below average carbonation.

getrunken auf einem Adventmarkt in einem Wild-West-Dorf in der Nähe von Passau. Das klassisches Wiezen kannt ich schon gut und umso mehr war ich erfreut, dass ich das dunkle Weizen hier bekam. Es ist wirklich ein schönes Dunkelweizen mit tollen fruchtigen Noten und einem leicht hefigen Unterton. Hat mir wirklich gut geschmeckt.

Geschmackvoll, karamalzig rund, etwas Frucht, ausgewogen, gute Substanz, trotzdem süffig. Mit dem Kauf eines Hacklberger-Biers kann man eigentlich nichts falsch machen - das sollte irgendwie jedem schmecken. Ganz große Charakterstärke darf man aber (inzwischen) nicht erwarten. Bei früheren Abfüllungen war immer eine leicht rauchige Note zu schmecken, die das Bier zu einem ganz besonderen Geschmackserlebnis gemacht hat. Diese fehlt leider bei den letzten Verkostungen bzw. ist manchmal gerade noch zu erahnen. Auch fehlt es den aktuellen Abfüllungen etwas an Substanz. Immer noch ganz gut, aber hat nichts mehr außergewöhnlich. War vor 10 Jahren mal einer meiner Anwärter auf das Siegertreppchen in der Klasse der dunklen Weizen. Rangiert jetzt nur noch im Mittelfeld.

0,5 l bottle out of the last box from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Pours out dark murky orange with an huge frothy steady head. Typical Dunkelweizen smell, fruity, some clove. Taste is fruity, mid sweetness, wheat and yeast present but in the background. Caramell and some chewing gum. Smooth. Low carbonated. Okay for its kind.

50cl bottle at Good beer 52, Lampang. Thin creamy beige head. Very hazy amber pour. Easy drinking after lots of Thai lager 😋

Bottled 500ml. -from Getränke Degenhart Passau. Unclear brownish coloured, big off-white head, fruity nose. Sweetish malty, wheaty, fruity and caramel with touch of cloves in the finish. Pleasant weizen.

On tap at a pub in Passau 9/8/2014. More easy Hacklberg drinking, with some brown sugar sweetness, stone fruits and gentle finish. Fine.
