Dark brown with a foamy, beige head. Aroma of spruce and caramel. Taste is bittersweet up front with the sweetness taking the upper hand, very mildly bitter at the back with lingering coffee and caramel. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Interesting, a touch too sweet for the style. 04/23: liked it better this time. Aroma of spruce and fudge. More bittersweet than sweet and still quite inviting even if not quite typical for the style. Pleasant.3.7

Black with creamy head. Sweet deep roasted malts, chocolate, hops, nettles, blackberries. Medium body, soft carb. Very tasty.

Can at home. Murky brown color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, brown malts, some hoppiness but a bit odd. Flavor is malts, brown malts, hops, hoppy bitters and a slight sort of boozyness. Hard to describe properly but while it is annoying it is just a minor thing in the end I'd say so pretty useful overall.

Thick cream to beige head over black beer. Dry hops and melanoidins, smoke, arachide, Hessian sacks. Much arachide, peanuts - rather sweet, as sugared roasted peanuts. Surprisingly little bitterness, or even hoppiness. Some black chocolate too, making it almost as liquidized chocolate bar, drier version of 'Lion'. Quite slick to sticky, feels quite well-bodied, good carbonation. Usually, I'm a big fan of "black IPA's", despite the inherent oxymoron. But here something somewhere went awry. This peanuts' flavour - if it weren't for the melanoidins, I suspect fatty acids would be jumping out of the glass.

Canned, 330 ml shared with Max and Miro. Dark brown, beige head. Caramel, lactic, somewhat hoppy, fruity notes, quite sweet. Medium bodied.

On tap (finally again!) at the stadsbrouwhuis. Pours black with a big frothy head. Aroma is dark malts, chocolate, pine, hops. Medium body. Flavour is malty and very smooth and creamy and sweet, slightly bitter, some chocolate. Lot of sweetness but there is a bit of bitterness to balance it and a good amount of hops to play with the sweetness; I am usually not a fan when beers get to sweet but this one works thanks to the hops. Indeed lovely hops character, pine, mango, orange. Delicious black IPA, nice to see a specifically NEIPA styled BIPA, very enjoyable.

Lõhnab ja maitseb üldiselt nagu NEIPA, maitses on lisaks ka natuke rösti ja kohvi. Laktoosi on kamaluga pandud, võiks öelda et ikka way liiga palju. Okish ütleks, võiks vähem magus olla.

Can. Deep dark brown color, Roast, citrus and grass in the aroma, sweetish roasty caramelly flavor with citrus. Low on carbon. Tasty and pleasant.

En Birragoza 2019
Negra, turbia con espuma de color beige. Aroma con notas torrefactas y algo lupuladas. Sabor donde predomina las notas torrefactas al principio que dan paso a un amargor decente. Final amargo, cremoso.
