330ml can, ABV in this form at 5%. Look - murky amber, small off-white head, nice retention. Inviting. Aroma - slightly toasted malts, rye grain, earthy and stone fruit hop. Ok. Taste - sweet malts to start and then a resinous note with fruitiness. Moderate bitterness and dry finish. Quite nice. Palate - moderate body, semi-smooth, dry at the end. Its a decent beer but doesn't really stand out.

Frothy white head left a creamy cover on an amber coloured still body. Malt aroma. Medium bodied, lively & dry on the back. Bitter, lightly smoked, hoppy, berry & hoppy tastes. Like this one.

Keg to growler from The Flintgate, Weybridge. Amber has rye like grains over resin and fruit syrup. But gets soapy. Opaque amber. Frothy creamy off-white head. Light-medium bitter with a sour edge. Matches the aroma: rye, resin but low key sour stone fruit rather than syrupy sweetness. However it's all rather subdued. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry finish, a tad astringent. Not particularly interesting.

Cask at the Lyric during the tap takeover - London. Pours clear amber with a foamy, white head. The nose has some grainy bread, ripening fruits, citrus, pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with some further grainy bread, light melon, more citrus fruits, toasty grains. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Moderately sweet to finish, with some piney hops, citrus rind, oily resin, grains. Pretty decent amber ale.

Cask at the lyric for the tap takeover. As American Amber. Reddy amber coloured pour with a lasting thin creamy head. Aroma is resin pine, little berry, bit of caramel and light toast. Flavour is firm grassy piney, resin, caramel, unrefined sugars, assertive hop bitterness. Solid malt backbone caramel and toast. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Little sticky on the tongue.

Cask at Lyric. It pours clear deep amber with a foamy beige head. The nose is soft, sweet caramel, juicy, wood, brown bread and some orange peel. The taste is bitter-sweet, woody, earth, resin, leather, caramel, pepper and pithy citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty quaffable. Another solid beer from these guys.

The Lyric. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Malts are light with a little creamy toffee. Hops are mildly spicy with touches of pine and citrus. Light semi dry finish brings mild esters. Pretty serviceable amber, reasonably well balanced.
