500ml bottle - Pours orange amber. Some fruit and malt in the aroma. Mouthfeel is somewhat oily and watery. Taste comes off as a mix of some kind of fruit mixed with hops and a light musty flavour and a sweet finish. Overall refreshing and decent.

Bottle. Pale amber with a small white head. Aroma of kumquats, grapefruit, honey, earth, light spices. Sweet light caramel and honey, plenty of citrus, firm bitterness.

Bottle from Morrisons. Amber pour with a white head. Tangerine and orange marmalade aroma. Full of sweet fruit flavours. A splash of pear and yellow melon. Sweet ’n’ fruity finish. Not bad.

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Golden amber with a loose cream head; caramel malt aroma; strong caramel taste with a malty body and a slightly oily texture; and even more caramel to finish. Rather sweet for my taste, but otherwise pretty good.

Cask at the Wharf. A clear dark golden beer with a small, white head on top. There’s some citrusy hops doing most of the aroma, but some room left for malts and some biscuits. Medium body, semi-dry and soft on the palate. Nice bitterness in the flavor, biscuity maltyness underneath. Citrusy end. Overall, a quite pleasant one, easy drinkable and worth a revisit. 120624

Sunday 17th Oct 2010, bright and sunny, managed to mow the lawns for the last time before winter: this beer is my reward. Brown 500ml bottle, best before the end of Nov 2010. Poured into an ’Abbot Ale’ tankard. Light amber body with a good foaming head of off white bubbles sat on top. I love Fuggles, but I couldn’t find any in the nose, some hints of citrus fruits with a sweeter undertone of toffee/caramel and molasses. The taste was fairly sweet, the toffee, caramel and molasses hitting the palate first. The Fuggles hops appear later as the mouth beings to dry, giving it a bitter finish. Easy to drink and as I prefer sweeter beers than overly hopped brews this really hit the nail for me.
