Named for and inspired by the founder of one of our favourite Independent record labels – 4AD. Also the namesake of the opening track from 4AD band Cocteau Twins' third album Treasure! Lovely golden colour with mango, pineapple & guava on the nose & the palate. Intensely hoppy, with oats for a smooth mouthfeel, & a dry bitter finish. Best enjoyed fresh.

Almost no head over big-bubbled, orange-golden beer, clear. CItrus mainly, but first something milky, dough-like. Later citrus, flowery, USA hops. BItter, hoppy. Faintly toasted, and according extra bitterness. Citrus again, grapefruit, resin. LIght body, lazily carbonated. Long lasting bitter fruity mainflavour. Not half bad.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Herbal-floral hoppy aroma, a perfumed yeasty touch, yellow stone fruit marmelade notes. Taste is grassy hoppy, hints of wet straw and cardboard, some hop bitterness, slightly disguised fruity undertones. Pitiable discrepancy of aroma and taste.

Bottle on Eurostar or Thalys London - Brussels - Rotterdam, Friday 13th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Had this on Thalys just as we set out from Brussels. Pours murky orange/amber, very little head, Barry thought that this was the best beer of the day, and I have to say I am not far away with his view, it?s a very good beer. Nice mouthfeel, citrussy and pithy a little numbing on the tongue. It’s taken me a little while to try an Orbit beer, but if this is anything to go by it won’t be long before I try some more, lovely. Bottle at home split with Sarah. Picked up at bottle dog KingsX. Aroma is nice floral lemon, berry honey suckle. Just a hint of caramel malts in the nose. Light pale yellow golden coloured pour with a thin whisp of white head. Flavour is composed of crisp clean malt, grainy, floral lemon, hint of grass. Very well balanced. Palate is crisp, medium light bodied, firm but balanced bitterness. Very sessionable. Lingering lemon zing and hint of honey malt.

Bottle at home in London - picked up from Kris Wines. Pours perfectly clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a frothy white head. The aroma has some lightly dried citrus fruits, hints of minerals, toasted grains. Light to medium sweet flavor, with further minerals, some grainy bread, orange rind, touches of earth, dry pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly dry on the finish with further citrus rind, toasted grains, minerals, subtle floral notes, gravel, citrus pith. Not bad overall. Pretty drinkable. But nothing about it really sings.
