Can shared in London - picked up at the Bottle Shop. Pours deep brown with a thick, frothy beige head. Roasted malts in the aroma, some minerals, toasted pine, cocoa. Light sweet flavor with flinty minerals, earth, toasty pine, earth. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and roasty on the finish, with more flinty minerals, orange peel, light spicy pine. Not bad.

It’s a dusky, gritty aroma of grapefruit, lemon, coffee, strawberry and chocolate that floats enticingly from the glass. The alcohol is reasonably well hidden on tasting, though it leaves a nice warm aftertaste. The hops are really pleasant with a strong grapefruit flavour and a biscuity malt.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Very dark, cola brown. Thin, dense, sticky, tan head. Nose has citrusy, grapefruity, blackcurrant hop. Soft roast. A bit burnt toast. Some chocolate. Taste is fruity, citrus sweet. Turns lupy bitter. Full body. Well matched carbonation. Long, punchy, chewy, burnt toast bitter finish. Totally Fucking Quite Alright.
