Cask at Victoria station W’Spoons. Golden pour with medium fluffy white head. Good aroma of hops/citrus fruit. Hoppy, citrus fruit, malty, bitter taste. Nicely balanced and very drinkable indeed.

Cask conditioned at the Rake, Southwark. Gold in colour with a decent white head. Sweetish malts, apricot and citrus hop aroma. Flavour had more of the malts, citrus and tropical fruit and a long dry finish. Very good.

Gravity cask at Son of Sid Brewery, The Chequers, Little Gransden, Cambs’ 1st Beer Festival on 02-10-09 Pours amber with white head, crystal clear, another beer in excellent nick. Light spiciness on the nose, some ginger which was also very apparent in the mouth. Ginger was more powder than root, unusually for Oakham not as hoppy as expected. A5 A5 F6 P3 Ov12 3.3

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. I think that this will be my lowest rated Oakham beer! Copper coloured, thin white head. Bit maltier than most of Oakhams with some red fruit and attractive hop aroma. Some strawberry in mouth and strong hop finish. Distinctive hop bitterness. I love the finish on this, mixed with the strawberry fruit and malt.
