Cask at the Brewery Tap, Peterborough. Clear gild with an uneven film of white head. Buttered toast, fresh grass with a hint of tropical fruit. Sweet taste with bitter edges and the merest hintvof astringency in the finish. Nicely pungent fruity aftertaste. Medium to full body. Quite nice but not particularly exciting.

Cask at CPK - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma holds simple pale malts, light citrus fruits, lemon. Light-medium sweet flavor with an interesting white tea character, some lemon meringue, tangerine, light bitter hay, lemon zest. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation and soft mouthfeel; pretty good condition. Nicely balanced on the finish with hints of Earl Grey, more mellowed citrus fruits, pale bread, low bitterness. Tasty beer. Novel and quite drinkable.

Cask at CP&K. It pours clear golden-amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, fragrant, watermelon, light grassy/herbal, fennel?! almost sorachi ace-like nose, creamy, guanabana and rice pudding. The taste is crisp, bitter, light sweetness, biscuity malt, toasty grain, citrus rind, grass, sherbet, icing sugar, grapefruit and lemon rind with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite a lot going on for the style. Good.

On cask @ Cloisters. Appearance - golden with a nice head. Nose - honey and limes. Taste - lime scented honey again, almost but not quite going into lime marmalade. Palate - close to medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a long tangy texture. Overall - enjoyable beer. I think this was 5.6% to be honest, so top end for Golden Ale.
