Luscious Smoked Porter brewed with seven varieties of malt, hops, and coconut pan fried right in the brewhouse. The toasted coconut and malt aromas are reminiscent of a macaroon cookie, but the mouthfeel is a rich, balanced smoke flavour with hints of coffee and chocolate.

Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Dark brown pour with a quickly dissipating beige head. Aromas of chocolate, burnt toast, licorice. Getting the coconut in the flavour, bit of a bounty bar feel, the plain/dark chocolate one’s the best! Low carbonation. Good malty, chocolate laden finish.

Keg at Mondos Tap, Battersea, Saturday 13th February 2016 Described by the barman as ’a bit chewy, I thought more like a bit sour and perhaps unintentionally so. Pours black in colour with an off-white head. Aroma a little bit roasty but sour edge again. Taste is a little fruity and tart (sour) not getting coconut or chocolate. A5 A4 T4 P3 Ov9 2.4

Keg at Mondo. It pours jet black with a small light tan head. The nose is rich, smoked malts, meaty, charred wood, salt beef bagel. The taste is rich, big smoked character, charred wood, ash, smoked, green coconut, green banana, peppery spice, meaty and coffee with a dry, smoked finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Interesting and rather enjoyable.
