Bottle from the Offie, Leicester, drunk at home.deep, dark golden and clear. Tiny bit of white head. Musty smell with more malt than hop. There's a touch of orange rind on further inspection but it's fairly quiet on the olfactory front. Bitter taste with heavy astringency in the finish. Honey, white grapefruit and touches of pepper in the aftertaste. Fairly heavy carbonation. Bland and unbalanced, but yet has just enough character to make me finish it.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Clear darker golden with a head. It’s a dense textured, hoppy ale with a mildly robust aftertaste.

Hazy deep gold beer, good cream colour head. Semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little creamy sweetness. Pithy orange, dry and bitter. A little orange peel. Floral bitterness. Semi dry bitterish finish. More Mallinsons frustration! It's a bit harsh.
