From bottle at IMBC. It pours deep mahogany brown with a small beige head. The aroma is oily, resinous, oak, blueberry cobbler, toffee, brown, fruit cake, earthy, vanilla and varnish. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, brown bread, wood, raisin, sultana, dried fruits, warming spice and some numbing booze with a drying finish. Full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Punchy and robust. Fun stuff.

Bottle at IMBC 2018, session 2. Pours clear caramel-gold with a foamy, off-white head. Good fun, lots of toffee, dried bananas, caramel, some leafy bitterness. Full bodied, oily, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, gooey, some golden raisins, alcohol, more toffee. Not bad.

Sampled from bottle shared by judyvv, big thanks! Hazy amber red-brown color with a small beige head. Smell and taste malts, boozy, barley wine flavors, in the finish eventually quite bitter. Nah.

Magnum shared by Chalumeaux. Deep Amber in color, fast dying head. Aroma is deep layers of malt, light oak, maybe a berry hint. The bock character is strong in this one! Oak is subtle with the ABV being rather hidden. Some mild spice in the finish. Tasty!
