Rebel IPA is brewed with 5 varieties of West coast hops: cascade, simcoe, centennial, chinook, & amarillo. It’s everything we love about West coast style IPA’s. Big citrus & grapefruit flavors with subtle pine notes for a flavorful refreshing brew.

Citrus is very faint, pine is more up front, but is also quite faint. Strong spicy, grassy presence in the flavour, and a light to medium bitterness. I expected much more from the description. This is nothing but a run of the mill mildly hoppy amber ale.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Watery old hops taste. Not much rebellious about this.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, small - but stable - white head; mild to moderate sweet-bitter nose of citric and herbal hops, supported by some secret pale malt with a tinge of toasted malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and soft; lingering and drier herbal-piney finish, again balanced by some malt. Not great, but surely good...
