Hier braut sich was zusammen.

Bottle: Poured a murky brown with off white head. The aroma was a sour metallic spice. The flavor was sweet roasted malt but had some bitter spice metal bite to it.

500 ml bottle, bought in Germany. Brewed in Oettinger’s brewery in Schwerin. ABV is 4.9%. Hazy brown colour (looks like muddy water), large off-white head. Typical dunkelweizen aroma of yeast, rye bread, cloves and banana. Slightly sour and lemony flavour, light bodied, thin mouthfeel, notes of bread and cloves. Drinkable, but there are better dunkelweizens around.

(bottle) Hazy brown color with a medium foamy off-white head. Shy malty and banana fruity aroma. Weak malty flavour and taste with traces of fruitiness and a boring short finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Oettinger pretty much brews every possible German beer type. Light brown, murky appearance, rather small head. Some vague wheaty notes with a slight sourness. Not bad, but definitely far from being a quality Dunkles Hefe. A bit boring. 141199

An unclear amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is wheaty with notes of caramel as well as hints of banana. The flavor is acidic wheaty with notes of caramel and again with hints of banana.

Test vom 14.3.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,12,4,7,6 - 7,25
