Bottle: Solid ruby-amber coloured, smaller lacing off-white head; dark-malty, a bit papery nose with a fruity tinge; moderate bitter-sweet flavour; light bodied; quite grainy, slightly sourish and a bit chocolatey finish. Not absolutely unpleasant, but quite boring stuff...........

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a nice, slightly beige foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly bready and crusty malty nose with a tinge of citrus and herbal hops. Slightly sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly roasted malty taste, German Schwarzbrot-like with light notes of liquorice; moderately dry, bitter-sweet and a bit slim finish. Decent Schwarzbier (12.05.08).

Dark brown with reddish shine; brownish head reduced just to rim. Rather sweet smell, breadish, very fresh-malty nose like the warm mash-run. Dark malts, "Traubenzucker". First taste is bitterish, very bread-like like a black crust on a too well-baked bread. Not sourish as German brown bread. Taste prolonges sweet, but always with the roasted overtones. Finishes like roasted oats. Sorry guys, cannot find much hops. Bit thinnish mouthfeel, watery. Typical Schwarzbier, but a bit at the sweet side. Not bad, shame about the finish.
