Written records from the 1720s refer to East London as "The Part Beyond the Tower", which inspired the name of our SIPA. Citra, Chinook and Mandarina Bavaria hops give this pale, slightly hazy, session IPA it's citrus, tropical and resinous flavours.

Half-pint, draught, shared with Finn at Waterloo Tap. Unclear grey-golden body under a chalk white head, spotty lacing. Citrus nose with lemon up front. Hop fruity flavours with grass and lemon. Rather fresh citrus ending notes. Fair enough. (London, 02.10.2023).

Delt med Rune. Lys gusjegrågul. Høyt kritthvitt kremaktig skum. LItt lacing. Veldig uklar. Grei sitrusaroma. Smaken overmoden klementin. Litt sitronskall i avslutninga.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 30/05/22. Pale yellow to light golden with a good sized white head that stays for the show. Nose is orange zest, grass, melon, hint of stoned fruits, lychee. Taste comprises tangerine, grapefruit, soft malts, pine nip, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Decent enough session gear ... surprised at the low overall score... maybe down to the 1.9 is OK!?!

330ml can on 6th November 2021 from M&S Archway. Pours a hazy yellowy amber with lasting white foam and full lacing. Fine citrus hops in aroma. Zesty citrus in-mouth with grassy notes lasting into a crisp hoppy finish. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Keg at Waterloo Tap. Nil aroma. Hazy pale gold. Foamy white head. Initially light sour with a prominent sour citrus edge. The quinine bitterness then gains strength. Underlying herbs. Light bodied. Thin. Prickly fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. It's nice enough but basic.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2019 - London. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Very dry, flinty, with notes of citgrus peel, low sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and bitter on the finish, more citrus peel, grassy notes. So so overall.
