Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home sat outside in the garden on another glorious sunshiney day, Sunday 18th June 2023 we're gardening. Wow what a fantastic day. Listening to 6Music. Pours chestnut colour again excellent clarity, off white head. This is completely next level compared to their Helles which was a tad disappointing. Nice softness, a little tangy fruit, caramel, toffee and a little nutty edge. Not particularly sweet, it's a good example of the style.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours a clear deep red - brown with a handsome khaki head. The aroma is brown bread, toasty grain, nutty, cereal, wood, leather, touch of bitter chocolate and malt loaf. The taste is dry, toasty, bitter - sweet, decent glug of cola, toasty brown bread, earthy, nutty, walnut, some light spice, filter coffee, cacao and malt loaf with a toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Flavourful and rather drinkable.

Bottle, danke Günther! Hazy chestnut, golden creamy head. Juniper, herbal roast aroma. Medium body, bready chewy mouthfeel. Lightly papery roast malt, caramel sweetness, herbal light wood-resinous hops with staying power.

Swing-top bottle. Piwo z Republiki Federalnej Europy:) piana spora, trwala, klarowna barwa, ciemno bursztynowa z czerwonymi refleksami. Nawet ok w smaku karmelowe, rodzynki, lekko kwaskowo-slodowe, chmielnosc nie uchwytna.

Schnapp-Fläschla: Copper coloured, hazy, medium-sized off-white head, mild to moderate sweet-bitter toasty-malty nose with a faint barnyardy-fruity touch underneath, hops hardly detectable; light to medium bodied, mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour; slightly lingering dark-malty and (almost a bit) chocolatey finish. Surprise! A well drinkable Bier by Leikeim..

Bottle from a Getränkemarkt in Travemunde. Red-brown color with a beautiful soft head. Very neutral nose, but more on the tongue with some nutty dark caramel and a wee bit of bitterness & malty astringency on the tail end. Not exciting but very quaffable.
