Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Moldy-malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, a bit washy. Shy rusty-smokey notes. Finish well balanced, still very mild. Okay.

Bottle. Hazy brown color with grey head. Aroma is hoppy, some chocolate. Taste is chocolate, hops, grassy, some electrolytes, not sweet. Silky mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Nice for what it is!

Fläschla (Besten Dank am See!): Deep amber coloured, hazy, small and persistent off-white foamy layer, moderate dryish caramelly-toasty nose with coffeeish spots; mild to moderate bitter flavour, low sweetness, light bodied as expected; dry herbal and tosty finish, balanced by a shy malty sweetness. Actually not bad for a beer of 0.9%…

Bottle from Schlenkerla. Shared with Jonas. Amber-brown body, big off white head. Hoppy, herbal, lightly woody aroma. This is still fresh apparently, and in top shape to drink according to jfb. It shows! The taste's basically the woody-grainy-coffee but soft maltiness, light, mixing with a light hoppy presence. A bit on the flat side, obvious lack of alcohol, but very drinkable. Can't go much higher in this category!

500 ml bottle from Schlenkerla webshop, bb 10/2020. Dark copper body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, beige head. Aroma of burnt wood, smoke, some dark bread, slight coffee. Tastes of coffee, tobacco, cocoa powder, dark bread, burnt wood, some caramel, citric hops. Light, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation. Finishes roasty, medium bitter, smokey, wooden, hoppy, subtly sweet, with coffee, cocoa powder, tobacco. Nice one. The nose is a bit strange, while still interesting. The taste is really nice, with a robust character and smooth to drink. Doesn't feel thin at all for the ABV. Score: 6 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 14

bottle from Schlenkerla's online shop. Dark brown, slightly hazy, with atall off-white to beige head. Starts with dark, roasetd malts, hints of coffee. Very light-bodied, quite a punchy bitter hoppy character, earthy, with more coffee. As is the pale version, this also is a really nice and light summer beer.
