Our brewers have packed this EPA with Munich malt, selected for its big malty flavour. To complement this we have added a mountain of Styrian Goldings and Goldings hops which impart huge fresh citrus, grassy aromas and flavours. It finishes vibrant, citrusy and beautifully balanced.

Hops: Goldings and Styrian Goldings

Bottle from Lidl. Gold in colour, with a thin, white, head. A sweet, slightly buttery, pale ale with some leafy hops and touch of citrus hops, before a dryish finish. Ok.

27th May 2018, 500ml bottle (BBE Sep 2019). Shared with Andy, he brought it to a family barbecue. Clear golden pour, weak wispy head. Light citrus leanings in both the nose and flavour, decent malty base, went well with my Bratwurst.

Cask at GBBF. This version is 3.8.%. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is muted, sweat, wet grass, damp leaves and sweet white bread. The taste is similar, bitter - sweet, cheap white bread, grassy, damp, leaves, straw, white bread, citrus pith and candy. Sweetish finish. Light - medium body and soft, yet lively carbonation. Good condition, but unexciting beer.

Cask at the pub that used to be Berts Bar in the west end of Edinburgh and now has some stupid name I can’t remember or be bothered to look up. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of buttery biscuit and faint dirty citrus. Taste is buttery too. Thin finish. Not great.
