Combining two of our absolute favourite things in brewing, thick double mashed imperial stouts and vibrant American hops, Mercury Fountain is a keeper not to miss out.
The agressive hop cocktail of Citra, Sabro, Chinook and Simcoe leads the main aroma notes, whilst the taste has a chewy toffee, chocolate and nougat core layered with citric hop resins; and all these are rounded by a touch of coconut flakes we added to the boil.
Mercury Fountain is an enigmatic experience, a play with our senses, liquid salvation poured in a glass, a true beast and we are super proud to have it unleashed finally.

Bottle shared az Dno Pytle. Pours jet black with a quickly dissipating off white head. Nose is light sweetness and huge hops, resinous, citric and thereβs coconut as well. Taste is light sweetness upfront, but then it turns excessively bitter real quick, showing citric and resinous hoppy notes with that coconut thouch again, and also some spicy chedar. Closes with a long lasting, bitter finish, has light to medium body and soft carbo. As the guys already said before me this oneβs actually a double black IPA, but I love those, so I have exactly no problem with it.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Lior's place. Thanks Odi. Dark brown. Alcohol, caramel, some roast, oxidation, soy sauce, a bit sweetish, umami and bitter.

0.33l bottle. Black body with a thin light brown head. Huge piny hop notes in the aroma with berries, chocolate, orange zest and lechee. The taste is sweeter and less hoppy than what I expected from the aroma. It shows notes of chocolate, caramel, grape seed, pine and raspberries. I agree with the fellow raters providing their oppinion before me that this is more a (double) BIPA than a RIS, but it's still nice.

Bottle, huge thanks to midovark for sharing! Very dark brown body, almost no head. Tropical and citric notes, huge hoppiness over some coffee-like malty touches. The hoppiness rules the taste too, initially citric, lightly detergent-like, with the Sabro coconut coming up more as it warms, light coffee touches, vaguely tart. A bit sticky, warming, nice but not a wow. Basically a double black IPA really.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a small tan head, a few coconut flakes floating around. Aroma is very hoppy, grapefruit peel, a bit of coconut and chocolate. Taste is very hoppy just like the aroma, bitter citrus peel, grapefruit, coconut, dark chocolate, resinous, finish is bitter and a tad harsh. Medium bodied. This is stupidly hoppy... Dry-hopped stout is surely a synonym for Black IPA. Nice experiment though and enjoyable for what it is, perhaps needs a few tweaks.
