Dunkel-feurige Farbe, samtig weicher Trunk.

Flascherl( als "Maximilian sei stark") Clear, deep ruby-amber coloured , medium-sized and lacy off-white head, moderate to solid sweet toasty-caramelly nose with loads of dried fruits underneath and the faintest hoppy traces; moderate to solid sweet flavour with a delicate bitterness, nearly full bodied; slightly lingering and slightly warming sweet fruity-toasty finish with a slight balancing bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad. Typical bavarian Doppelbock...

(bottle, 33cl, as Maximilian sei stark) Clear, dark brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Dark malty aroma with notes of bread crusts, caramel, molasses and subtle dried fruits. Moderately sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dark malt character, slightly molassy and starchy taste with caramel, sugar beet and bready notes; sweet and moderately molassy finish. Not the best one of its kin. 02.I.18

Tap at Capri. Dark brown color clear, tan head. Aroma ia thick grainy with lots is straw, hay, cereal. Taste sweetish yet balanced, creamy with much caramel, hints of licorice, dark roasted malts, black bread. Thick sticky texture, big body, quite dense. Heavy one, important ABV, fits in the style, which I'm not an huge fan of, ok though.

BOTTLE 33 CL as Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Maximilian sei stark. Clear chestnut brown, tan head. Rich, if a bit too direct, malty and brown sugar aroma. The taste is just as malty, but the grassy hop bitterness adds enough balance the needed complexity. Very good.

Brotiger, dunkel malziger Antrunk. 9/11/11/11/7/11
