Dunkel-feurige Farbe, samtig weicher Trunk. Ein unvergesslich intensiver Geschmack nach malzigen Röstaromen, Karamell und einem Hauch von Schokolade. Dunkel – stark – mächtig.

Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing! Malty-sweetish beginning. Highly drinkable with a nice dryness in the body. The beer has burned hints with fresh dry brown sugars, round and smooth, fresh and deep. Hints of roast, round and dryer-intense in the end. Nice dry caramel in the end, round and caramelly dry. Nice!

0,5 l bottle as "Fastenbock" from P&M Getränke, best before 4/11/2015. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Pleasant, malty aroma of dark cherries, candy sugar and raisins with minimal hints of alcohol. Sweet taste of raisins, dark cherries and candy sugar. Short, slightly bitter finish with minimally metallic notes. Full body, oily and chewy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Typical doppelbock, enjoyable.

500ml bottle [Fastenbock]. Wonderful, clear ruby red colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, yellowish off-white head. Malty aroma with hints of caramel, a grainy, grass, spicy touch. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty with a nuttily touch, some hay, dry, grassy hoppy overtones. Nice.

50 cl bottle as ”Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Fastenbock” @ Timo A, BBE 28.10.2013
Aroma is rather malty and somewhat sweet with hay and chocolate notes. Flavour is surprisingly tart with malty notes, berries, woody notes and some chocolate. Quite tart for a doppelbock.
