At first, you are a beginner – a pia. Once you’re advanced in the knowledge of the occult lore and tribal traditions, you are called a tāura. Of course, we are not here to lecture you on Maori esoteric culture, but we will definitely be focusing more on the wonderful qualities of the New Zealand hops.

The unusual aromas of coconut, limes and kiwi come from the hops grown in this faraway country. We decided to brew a very simple beer, one that will be an introduction to the breath-taking climate of the hop crops in Land of the Long White Cloud. After you’re over the initial surprise of the aroma and you take the first sip, you will be astonished by the tropical fruit ripeness, ended by a short yet pleasant bitterness. Low alcohol content – especially for an IPA – makes this an exceptionally saison beer. Naturally we didn’t use any fruit, additives or aromas, it was all hops!
