Lively and easy going summer ale with a blend of citrus, tropical fruit and cedar notes from Sabro, Citra and Vic Secret Hops. Hazy golden colour, aroma shows both grapefruit, lemon as well as tropical mango notes. Palate starts off with a soft fruity tone – mango, pineapple, papaya, followed by citrus peel bitterness and a dry accent similar to cedar wood. Easy and summery hoppy ale.

Can shared with Undos and Gabor. Zavaros aranyszin, tortfeher habbal. Illatra nagyon hivogato deligyumolcs orgia, pici cukorkas edessegge. Izre is hozza ezeket a jegyeket, nemi citrushejjal kiegeszulve. A teste viszont meglehetosen ures es vekony, a korty vege is szaraz, meg egy pale alehez kepest is keves. Kar, pedig nagyon jok indult.

Hazy pale yellow colour. It's got elements of juicy tropical fruit and a touch of more resinous hop too. A bit thin and gassy.

APA in the hazy New England idiom ('NEPA'), an atypically light beer for Pühaste, from a can depicting a haystack and a zebra for some reason. From De Apotheek, my new local craft beer shop in Ghent. Thick and frothy, snow white, discontinuously cobweb-lacing, crackling, uneven-bubbled and irregular yet stable head; cloudy lemon-yellow blonde robe with vague greenish edges. Exotically spicy and green-fruity aroma of freshly cut lemongrass, lime zest, unripe pineapple, starfruit, pink peppercorns, yellow grapefruit peel, turmeric, unripe green mango, black radish peel, rucola, mossy stonecrop, fingered citron, dried out white bread. Juicy onset but not in that typical sweet 'fruit purée' way you often see in NEIPAs and their kin; rather dryish and 'green' in fact, with hints of crushed green gooseberry, unripe pineapple, carambola and kumquat, fizzily carbonated with minerally effects (too sharply so for the intended style perhaps) and slender but still 'filling' grainy and white-bready maltiness soaked from beginning to end in spicy, utterly zesty and citric hoppiness, reminiscent of lime zest and grapefruit peel again, altogether relatively mild and juicy, with retronasal impressions covering a spectrum between horseradish, turmeric powder, lemongrass and sweeter papaya and orange, though the spicy effects remain much stronger than the sweet-fruity effects, which only pop up briefly every now and then. Quite a lot happening in this 4.5% ABV beer, very summery and crisp in an interestingly as well as refreshingly spicy way, extremely zesty as well, but nowhere as tediously sweet-juicy as so many other present-day NEIPAs and NEPAs (the latter term still quietly trying to embed itself in the beer lexicon to describe a lighter variant of NEIPA in both strength and hoppiness). The only thing that bothered me here, is that I had this on a chilly February night instead of a bright May afternoon, as fate would have it, but I have myself to blame for that rather than the beer or the brewer...

14/11/2022. Can bought at NFX La Cave à Bière, Noumea. Pours cloudy dull pale mustard orange with a frothy white head. Husky tropical aroma of papaya, mango, pineapple, touch of coconut and herb with light weedy resin. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with some tartness developing. Moderate body, average carbonation. Nicely done.
