Black with creamy head. Aroma has some coconut and wood. Flavour has less coconut (fortunately). Heavily roasted bitter malts are very pleasant.

33cl can. A very dark reddish brown beer with a big tan head. Aroma of sweet and strong dark malt, chocolate, vanilla, some coconut. Taste of sweet chocolate, vanilla, coconut, brownies.

Noire huile de moteur, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme aux effluves maltées, chocolat, touche pâtissière, noix de coco, petite note de macaron - douceur sucré résiduelle perdure en rétro. Pas mal de malts - choco/cara, même note de fruits noirs des malts et un léger côté agrumes du houblon Galena.

Palais est de suite marqué par une épaisseur de malts/grains - chocolaté, grillé, avoine, caramel, presque mélasse, douceur apportée par la noix de coco et ce côté avec le douceur du macaron - sucre impalpable - ce qui donne quand même un fini marqué par le sucre résiduel. Amertume plus que discrète sur qcq pointes d'agrumes.

Thick tan head over jet-black beer. Old cookies and macarons kept in granma's cupboard box for half a century. Copra. Coconut, roast, copra, Bounty bar, very sweet. Chewy as a Bounty bar, good carbonation. Ouch! Knew it, but my fellow tasters needed to try it.

Pours black, small tanned head fades fast. Scent is surprisingly sharp, roasty, very mild booze, notes (hidden) of coconut. Taste is medium intense, roasty, sweet, caramel, no real almonds ( macaroon) which is a relief. Coconut is very mild, but it's not chemical, which is something I sometimes get in that. Body is medium thick, carbonation is medium to medium high.

I can't put my finger on it, but I miss some 'smoothness'. It's very 'clinical' and even that sounds chemical, that's not the case here. More than decent Imperial stout for sure, i might not fully be entertained due to the expectations by it's name and it's given result though.

Can from Geers - I thought this was brand-new! Cloudy black, thin and thinning beige head. Aroma of macaroons, Bounty bar, dark toffee, whipped cream, cappuccino, vanilla (ice cream), prune, oats. Taste has sweet prune & date in a thick toffee & chocolate malty profile, creamy undertone with coconut accents sprinkled on top. Very, very slightly earthy-umami, some bitter fondant in the middle too. Earthy hoppy finish, creamy, burnt coco chips somewhat, lingering chocolate candy and rather boozy brown rum-like alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sweeter than the Speculoos Stout, way more accessible than the latest Smoked Stout, this is rich and tasty, somewhat in line with BrewDog's style I'd say.
