Mein Kumpel Bernhard bestellte sich Schuhe bei einer französischen 🇨🇵 Klostermanufaktur und der Shop bot auch dieses Bier an. Es ist angelehnt an die belgischen Abteibiere ⛪und dementsprechend malzig-süß. Von weihnachtlichen Hewürzen merke ich nicht so viel, aber der Körper ist schön balanciert und es lässt sich angenehm trinken. Die freundliche Hefigkeit unterstützt noch diesen Eindruck. Kein einfaches Bier, das aber trotzdem auch dem einfachen als auch dem bieraffinen Gläubigen schmeckt.

Beim Brauer in der Normandie gekauft. Helles Braun- ins rötliche gehend, trüb, nur ein Hauch Schaum. Aroma: Karamell, Malz, etwas kalter Kaffee, etwas bittere Schokolade. Geschmack: wenig süß, etwas bitter, Karamell, Kaffee, sehr angenehm ausbalanciert. Fruchtig im Abgang.

Clear amber to orange beer, big creamy off-white head. Aroma: malty, caramel, grains, oxidized, some orange peel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty malty, caramel, grains, hoppy, pretty bitter, some banana. Aftertaste: bitter, sweet, more banana, spicy touch, lots of yeast.
