Cask at Craft Brixton - 28/09/12. Clear golden with a thin white head that soon clears. Nose of toffee, orchard fruits, caramel malt. Taste largely follows nose, couldn’t elaborate any further! Medium bodied with low carbonation. The ubiquitous 3 out of 5. Drinkable but Whelming!

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 13/08/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Butterscotch and Red fruit aroma. Very sweet flavour with plenty of diacetyl, and short bitter finish. I was grateful that it was only half a pint.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 18 Apr 2009) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of orange peel, biscuity malts and earthy hops. Malty, nutty taste with dried fruit, apricots, orange and generous doses of earthy hops in the finish. Medium body, good balance. Nice and well made bitter.

Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 09-01-08. Pours mid amber with a white head. Good hoppy nose, tasty with a good fruity tang. There is a lovely raspy bitterness that you only seem to get with a British bitter. Really nice beer, I’m surprised at the lowish ratings. A7 A4 F7 P3 OV15 3.6
