Clear yellow pour with a medium white head. Aroma is nice cereals, rye is there but very light. Adds a soft sweetness, and a touch of spice. It's a nice addition, to what would have probably been a musty, appley crap lager. Low bitterness, solid cereals, with some light floral hops. It's nothing special, but it's decent for what it's aiming at being.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, honey, faint rye and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy caramel malt, honey, bread, grass, faint rye and light floral hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Malt forward. Not Great, but not bad either.

Good foam on a clear gold body, the nose is all corn and tin. Like, take your steel wool scrubber and soak it in corn juice and water and there you go. Flavour is harsh caramel, soft biscuit, sweet corn. Cloying finish. Wow - I forgot how bad a macro lager can be. Did Wayne even try this stuff? Can found in Kelowna.

Pours a clean, light-golden colour with a big white cap that is almost creamy, very lasting long and good lacing. Cereal grain aromas with yeast and rye notes. The taste shows the grain flavours again, with hints of honey. Some nice hops mildly come to cut the sweetness in the finish. A fairly good rye lager. Maybe a little too rich in the end.

Can from the LCBO. Crystal clear pale gold with a large foamy white cap that fades slowly and leaves patchy lace. Nose is grains, grass, light yeast and a hint of spice. Light sweet bread with a light grassy bitterness and just a touch of rye spice. mouth is thin with soft carbonation and a crisp finish. 6/3-/5+/3-/11

This lager poured a clear yellow colour with a huge, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include corn, a little honey and dough. First swig was smooth but a bit watery. Flavours of grain, bread and a little cereal. Finish is lightly hoppy/bitter.

As a Canadian guy I felt I had to buy something fromWayne Gretzky Craft Brewing: Rye Lager 5% Crystal clear gold with a sweet grainy aroma with none of the spicy rye I expected. Full bodied with lots of sweet grainy corn malt lager flavor but not much rye. Meh, ok but not what the name promised in my book.
