Bottle 50 cl. Cloudy, opaque orangey golden with a creamy and lacing, off-white head. Minerally nose, smell of vitamins. Light body, tart fruitiness and a slight yeastiness. No big banana and cloves notes, this is more to a dry and tart side. Interestingly different approach to a Hefeweizen. 181225

On tap at the brewpub, Hauzenberg Friday 29th December 2023 as the Krampus (about 25-30) came marching in. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head, nice soft mouthfeel, a little citrussy with a slightly creamy mouthfeel (carbonation?), nice tanginess, the spelt adds a different dimension to this.

Eine der neusten Kreationen aus der Spezialitätenbrauerei aus dem Bayerischen Wald. Ein helles Weißbier aus Weizen-, Gerste- und Dinkelmalz. Aber Moment mal, das gibt es doch schon, nennt sich „Granit Weiße“ (wurde früher wohl auch mal kurzzeitig unter dem Namen „La Bianca“ geführt) und ist seit einigen Jahren im Programm von Apostelbräu. Vergleichen wir mal kurz die „technischen Daten“. 4,8 % Alk. bei der „Granit Weiße“, deren 5,3 % beim „Weizen mit Dinkel“. Rohstoffe aus konventioneller Landwirtschaft bei der „Granit Weiße“, beim Neuling ist alles Bio. Grundsätzlich sind sich die beiden Biere recht ähnlich. Von der Farbe ist das neue Bier minimal dunkler. Man schmeckt Getreide, etwas getrocknete Aprikose, dass ganze wird eher herb präsentiert. Alles nix neues, aber ein kleines bisschen kräftiger. Geschmacklich macht den größten Unterschied eine florale, teeige Note, die zum Schluss kommt. Recht viel Kohlensäure, die aber sehr feinperlig ist. Grundsätzlich gefallen mir „Granit Weiße“ und der „Weizen mit Dinkel“ beide recht gut. Welche ist nun besser. Schwierig. Der „Weizen mit Dinkel“ ist kräftiger und nuancenreicher, die „Granit Weiße“ ist weicher und süffiger. Letztendlich gibt da nur der Bio-Bonus den Ausschlag zugunsten der Neuerscheinung.

Bottle. Golden color. Foamy head. Orange in the grainy aroma. Cereals and orange in the refreshing flavor. Some soft yeasty notes. Decent.

Heller getreidig hefiger Antrunk, der Noten von alkoholreduzierten Bieren aufweist. Süßlich, dann wässrig werdend, unrund. 7/7/6/6/8/6

Pours hazy golden colour with a small to medium white head. Fruit on the nose allied to a little sweet caramel and some herbal background.

Bottle. Pours very slightly hazy pale yellow, with airy white head. Sweetish, rough aroma of grain and yeast, with touches of citrus. Sweetish flavour of grain, malt, and yeast, with touches of banana. Sour-sweetish aftertaste. Tastes like ordinary wheat beer but smells like a specialty grain variant of one. OK.

Bottle. Weak banana aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour also has banana. Not too bad, actually. Like a standard wheat beer.

Bottle: Golden, a bit unclear, quickly collapsing loose white foam, tart and sourish grainy nose with s touch of vegetables; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, but still a chewy MF; fruity-grainy finish. Drinkable, surely not my favourite…

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, wheaty and spelt-malty aroma with hints of banana, apricots and a tinge of sweat. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Slim malty base with notes of wheat and spelt, accompanied by a touch of banana; rather short and mildly sweet-sour finish.
